Event Description:

OSHA Recordkeeping

The Safety Working Group of the West Virginia Chamber is pleased to team with Simonetti Consulting and FDR Safety, Inc., a nationally recognized company that specializes in safety training, to present an informative program designed to provide up-to-date information on the often complex rules and regulations governing federal OSHA recordkeeping.  The class will be highly interactive with round table and small group interaction.

You may thoroughly comply with OSHA standards. But, if you fall short when it comes to recordkeeping regulations, your company can still end up paying thousands of dollars in fines.  You might ask,

Why is OSHA interested in my records?

Because the recordkeeping form, the Form 300, is one of the first things an OSHA inspector will ask to see.  If the Form 300 and related forms have not been properly maintained, it will very likely raise the compliance officer’s suspicions regarding your company’s safety and health programs.  It often will cause OSHA to scrutinize everything more carefully and perhaps even conduct a wall to wall inspection.  The bottom line is that poor recordkeeping will have an immediate and direct impact on how OSHA will treat a company during an inspection.

Do you know; how to handle an actual OSHA recordkeeping inspection; how to deal with a site that has multiple business establishments; what to do when there has been a change of business ownership; if your company provides for employee involvement and what are the requirements; and finally how to handle a data request from the Bureau of Labor Statistics?

If you can’t answer with an emphatic “YES!” to all of the above, then you need to attend this comprehensive, one-day workshop. Not only will you learn how to respond to these questions, you will receive the tools, skills and knowledge to make the correct recordkeeping and reporting decisions including:
